How to use Excel to CSV

Convert the first worksheet into a safe CSV file.

Supported input: CSV or XLSX, first worksheet
Your result: CSV file
Account and limits: Free verified account · 20 MB per operation · 100 uses per day

Choose a CSV or XLSX file, or paste JSON when the tool requests it. Include a header row for tabular files.
Check that column headers and identifiers match the operation you selected. Only the first worksheet is processed.
Create the output and check the preview, row count and important cell values before downloading.

Before you start

The first worksheet is processed, with up to 10,000 data rows and 50 columns. PDF tables support up to 500 rows and 12 columns.
Imported formulas are not evaluated. CSV formula-like values are escaped and identifiers are kept as strings.

Generated files expire after 24 hours. Keep a copy of important results. Read the help guide or report a problem.

Three small steps. One task done.

Choose your files or enter the details you want to work with.
Adjust the options, then create your result. Check the preview when available.
Download your result. Generated files expire after 24 hours; saved documents stay until you delete them.
