THE TECHSATHI GUIDES

How to create a QR code and test the exported image

Choose the right QR type, use a readable design and check the actual scanned destination before printing or sharing.

Choose the code for the task

Use QR code generator for plain text or a complete web link. Enter the final destination you control and check its spelling. A QR code stores the content you provide; generating it does not confirm that a destination is trustworthy or still available.

Sign in with a verified free account, enter your content and choose the available PNG or SVG export. Keep the original destination text so you can compare it with a scan of the exported file.

Keep the pattern easy to read

Choose a dark code colour and keep clear space around the pattern when placing it in a design. Avoid stretching, cropping or covering part of the code. A decorative layout that looks attractive on screen may be harder for a camera to recognise.

SVG is useful when a print layout needs to resize a vector image. PNG is convenient for sharing as an image. In either case, test the final size and surroundings you actually plan to use, including a printed sample where printing is the goal.

Scan the downloaded output

Create the code and download it. Scan that downloaded image with a phone, then read the complete destination or payload before opening it. Check that the URL uses the intended domain and path and that any query parameters are correct.

If you add the code to a poster or document, test that final exported design too. Check it at the intended viewing distance and lighting. A successful scan of a large preview does not prove that a small printed copy will work.

Use connection-specific tools carefully

For network details, Wi-Fi QR code builds a network payload. The code contains the supplied connection information, so only share it with the people who should receive those details.

WhatsApp QR code builds a conversation link using the phone number you supply. Check the country code and confirm the scanned destination. It does not send a message by itself.

UPI payment QR uses your entered payment address and optional amount. Generating the image does not verify the payee. Check the address and the recipient displayed in the payment app before distributing the code or making a payment.

Keep a usable copy

Download the final image before its generated link expires after 24 hours. The downloaded QR image itself does not depend on that temporary result link, but the website or service encoded inside it must remain available.

If you later change the destination, generate and distribute a new code unless you deliberately encoded a stable URL whose redirects you control. This tool does not provide a hosted dynamic-link management service.
